Sony Music Mexico, The Orchard & Homegrown Mafia Sign Global Distribution Deal

The global music distribution company The Orchard and Sony Music Mexico signed a global distribution deal with the Mexican label Homegrown Mafia.

Sony Music Mexico and The Orchard have signed a global distribution deal with the Mexican hip-hop/rap label Homegrown Mafia, Billboard can confirm.

The deal is set to cover new releases as well as Homegrown Mafia’s catalog and roster which includes Aleman, La Banda Bastön, La Plebada, Yoga Fire, Fntxy, Dee and Phul King Fu.

“We are extremely excited for the beginning of this partnership with Homegrown, Sony Music and The Orchard,” said Roberto López, Sony Music Mexico president. “Thanks to the powerful roster of artists, powerful Music and brilliant creative strategies, Homegrown has achieved a big presence in the music scene. We are thankful for their confidence, and proud to start working this partnership to get their artists and Music to higher levels.”

Darwin Norvak, Homegrown’s director, echoed López. “With this alliance, we are motivated to keep joining forces for the development and projection of Homegrown’s artists.”

Homegrown Mafia has served as an incubator for emerging artists from the rap scene in Mexico and other Latin American countries.
