The set debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 231,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, earning Bieber his seventh No. 1.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
Bieber had last ruled the Artist 100 on April 23, 2016, when his previous album, Purpose, ranked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and the set’s “Love Yourself” and “Sorry” placed at Nos. 6 and 14, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100.
With his 12th week atop the Artist 100, Bieber ties Ed Sheeran for the sixth-most total weeks spent at No. 1, dating to the chart’s 2014 launch. Taylor Swift leads with 37 weeks in charge, followed by Drake (31), The Weeknd (15), Post Malone (14) and Ariana Grande (13).
Tame Impala re-enters the Artist 100 at No. 2, reaching a new peak on the strength of its new LP The Slow Rush, which arrives at a career-best No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 110,000 units.
Rounding out the Artist 100’s top five, Billie Eilish dips to No. 3 after 10 total weeks on top, followed by Post Malone (2-4) and Roddy Ricch (3-5).
