Olivia Rodrigo boasts the biggest song in the world for a second week, as "Drivers License" holds at No. 1 in its second frame on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

Olivia Rodrigo boasts the biggest song in the world for a second week, as “Drivers License” holds at No. 1 in its second frame on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. The song is the first to top both tallies in its first two weeks on the rankings.

Plus, Ariana Grande‘s “34+35” surges from No. 11 to No. 2 on the Global 200, following the release of its remix featuring Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion, and The Weeknd‘s “Save Your Tears” jumps 13-9. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “34+35” bounds 13-5 and Myke Towers and Juhn‘s “Bandido” bumps 12-9.

Billboard‘s two global charts (the latest of which are dated Jan. 30) premiered in September and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.

Chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

Second-Highest Global Streaming Week

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” holds atop the Billboard Global 200 with 138.9 million streams (up 7%) and 39,000 sold worldwide (down 20%) in the Jan. 15-21 tracking week, the week’s top sums in both metrics. The song was released Jan. 8 and sparked an especially buzzworthy first week.

The single by the singer-songwriter and actress, 17, initially known for her roles in Disney Channel’s Bizaardvark and Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, scores the second-most weekly streams since the Global 200 began, trailing only the weekly high for BTS’ “Life Goes On” in its first frame (152.5 million, Dec. 5). “Drivers License” claims the runner-up spot from its own first week, as it arrived a week ago with 130.1 million.

Ariana Grande’s “34+35” soars from No. 11 to No. 2 on the Global 200, surpassing its prior No. 5 peak (set upon its Nov. 14 debut), following the Jan. 15 release of its remix featuring Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion, both of whom receive credit on the song on the Global 200 for the first time (as worldwide activity for the remix outpaced that of the original during the tracking week). It ascends with 60.7 million streams (up 57%) and 11,000 sold (up 284%) globally.

Already one of Grande’s three Global 200 top 10s, “34+35” is the first for Doja Cat and second for Megan Thee Stallion, following her featured turn on Cardi B’s “WAP,” which led for three weeks in September-October.

Rounding out the Global 200’s top five, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” drops from its No. 2 high to No. 3; Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez’s “Dákiti” holds at No. 4, after three weeks on top; and 24kGoldn’s “Mood,” featuring Iann Dior, keeps at No. 5, after reaching No. 2.

Elsewhere in the Global 200’s top 10, The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” reaches the region for the first time, rising 13-9. A week earlier, it vaulted 67-13 after its official video premiered Jan. 5. The song scales the latest list with 39.1 million streams (down 3%) and 10,000 sold (down 20%) globally in the week ending Jan. 21.

Record Double Domination

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” concurrently crowns the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for a second week, with 80.1 million streams (up 47%) and 12,000 sold (up 1%) in territories outside the U.S. in the Jan. 15-21 tracking week.

The song is the first to simultaneously top the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts in its first two weeks on both surveys.

The next three songs on the Global Excl. U.S. chart hold in place: BTS’ “Dynamite,” at No. 2 after a record eight weeks at No. 1; Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez’s “Dákiti” (No. 3), following its five-week command; and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (No. 4), which reached No. 3.

Rounding out the Global Excl. U.S. top five, Ariana Grande’s “34+35” vaults 13-5, passing its prior No. 12 high and becoming Grande’s third top 10 on the chart (37.3 million streams, up 43%; 3,000 sold, up 230%).

Plus, “Bandido” by Myke Towers and Juhn, both from Puerto Rico, climbs 12-9 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart (41.6 million streams, essentially even week-over-week). Myke Towers (born Mike Torres) adds his second top 10 on the ranking, after “Caramelo,” with Ozuna and Karol G, hit No. 10 in September. Juhn (born Jorge Hernandez Quiles) reaches the top 10 in his first appearance on the chart.
