BTS dominates the top three spots on Billboard‘s World Albums chart (dated July 25), as the group’s new release Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey arrives at No. 2 with 8,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending July 16, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

The set is BTS’ 13th top five World Albums entry, extending its record for the most among K-pop acts. (Celtic Thunder leads all acts, with 20.)

Map of the Soul: 7 tops the tally for a 17th total week, with 13,000 units. The set debuted at No. 1 on both World Albums and the all-genre Billboard 200 charts dated March 7 with 422,000 units, the third-biggest opening week of the year for any title, after Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die this week (497,000) and The Weeknd’s After Hours on April 4 (444,000).

BTS’ Love Yourself: Answer ranks at No. 3 on World Albums with 7,000 units. The 2018 set has spent 31 weeks at No. 1, the most among the group’s 10 No. 1s.

BTS monopolizes the World Albums chart’s top three for a record-extending 29th week. No other act has achieved the feat even once, dating to the list’s 1990 launch.
