Notably, she becomes the first woman to lead Rap Songwriters, dating to its inception in June 2019.
“WAP,” by Cardi B featuring Megan Thee Stallion, blasts in at the Hot Rap Songs summit with 93 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, the largest total ever for a song in its first week of release. The song concurrently launches at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, also with 11.7 million in radio audience and 125,000 downloads sold.

On the Rap Producers chart, “WAP” producers Ayo & Keyz (real names: Austin Owens and James Foye III) tie at No. 1, ruling for the first time.
The weekly Rap Songwriters and Rap Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Rap Songs chart; As with Billboard‘s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
